GE Radiation Bunker

GE Radiation Bunker is a permanent facility designed to safely house equipment employed in uranium mining and other calibrated radioactive sources that GE holds for research purposes.

Actus was requested to take over an initially distressed project and provide design services as lead consultant. Required to deliver a fully documented solution on a challenging timeline, Actus achieved this whilst adhering to the exacting safety standards of the International Atomic Energy Agency and US Nuclear Regulatory Commission. The design and construction of this facility was required to meet further requirements of the Western Australian and Federal Governments and Actus ensured these obligations were fulfilled on behalf of the customer while maintaining the highest standards of communication with relevant consultants and stakeholders. GE Radiation Bunker continues to provide essential industry services in a facility designed to exacting safety standards.
