Adam Goodwin is a distinguished Navy veteran who has successfully transitioned his leadership skills from the maritime domain to the fields of architecture and interior design. With 14 years of service in the Royal Australian Navy, Adam honed a unique blend of discipline, strategic thinking, and dedication, which now defines his role as the original founder of Actus. His passion for architecture developed during his naval career, where he gained valuable experience in project management, teamwork, and attention to detail, all skills that seamlessly translated into his civilian career. Through leadership positions both at sea and ashore, Adam managed complex operations under challenging conditions, instilling in him a strong foundation in strategic leadership, project planning and scheduling, communication, technical knowledge, planning, and adaptability, all of which have served him well in the 12 years in his architectural career.

Upon retiring from the Navy, Adam pursued his passion by founding Actus, a firm now recognised for its innovative designs and commitment to client satisfaction. His approach to architecture combines creativity with practicality, ensuring spaces meet functional needs while elevating the human experience. Adam also remains deeply committed to community service, participating in charitable initiatives and mentoring aspiring architects and veterans transitioning into civilian careers. His military ethos of service and excellence continues to shape both his professional journey and personal life, as he balances his career with family time, outdoor adventures, and ongoing learning.
